Mace is good when your enemy is a few feet away, but if they're right up in your grill then you might mace yourself too. So, it's good to have a way to stab. If you might get in trouble for carrying a knife, just keep a large strong sharp pen in your pocket. If you're a high school girl, they will probably not expect you to fight back at all, so when you attack you will have the benefit of surprise.
