Is sex common when living on-campus in a residential dorm?

I feel like it depends on the school a lot. I know my college is very liberal and there were plenty hookups between dorm members (it was a co-ed building, but same gendered roommates) and there were only like 50 people in my building. However, I have friends at other schools who have never heard of anyone hooking up in their dorms.
