If anyone knows anything about Architecture as a career...please help.?

I'm going into my second year of college, and I want to study Architecture. The official classes will start next year for me. I currently live in Michigan, but eventually want to move somewhere down south. My dream is to go into residential architecture and to create and design residential buildings. What is the career of Architecture like? And does architecture include interior designing as well? Or would I have to study that seperatly? Thank you so much.
